Client and her husband have a severely disabled 2 year old son, “Oliver”. Oliver was suspected of being autistic but when we were first contacted there was no formal diagnosis. Client had claimed DLA for Oliver but the claim had been refused in large part due to the lack of a formal diagnosis.

We were able to assist client to navigate her way through the reconsideration and appeal process, including obtaining an adjournment of the hearing to enable the formal medical evidence confirming the diagnosis to be obtained. Once the detailed medical evidence from Oliver’s paediatric consultant was received the case was ready to be heard. We represented client at appeal with the appeal being successful
