About Us
About Citizens Advice Sefton
Citizens Advice Sefton is an independent local charity providing free, confidential and impartial advice to people across Sefton.
We are part of the national Citizens Advice service, but we are locally run. This means we understand the pressures facing our communities and can respond to local needs.
Supporting people when it matters most
People usually come to us at times of stress, uncertainty or crisis. This might be due to debt, benefit problems, housing issues, work disputes or wider cost‑of‑living pressures.
Our role is to help people understand their options, make informed decisions, and take practical steps forward. We don’t just provide information — we help people navigate systems that can feel overwhelming.
Where problems are complex, we can offer ongoing support or refer people to specialist help.
Every year, we support people facing multiple, overlapping problems. Our advice can help reduce financial pressure, stabilise housing situations, improve access to income and benefits, and give people the confidence to move forward.
