Become a Trustee

Citizens Advice Sefton is led by a Board of Trustees who help ensure the charity is well governed, financially sustainable and focused on meeting the needs of local people.

Trustees play an important role in shaping our future. Working alongside the Chief Officer and leadership team, they provide strategic oversight, support good governance and help us continue delivering high-quality services across Sefton.

We welcome applications from people with a wide range of skills, backgrounds and experiences. Previous trustee experience is not essential, and we are particularly keen to hear from people who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.

What Does a Trustee Do?

  • Help shape the organisation’s strategy and future direction.
  • Support good governance and effective decision-making.
  • Monitor performance and organisational impact.
  • Provide oversight of finance and risk.
  • Act as an ambassador for Citizens Advice Sefton.

Becoming a trustee is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills and experience to help strengthen an organisation that makes a real difference to people’s lives every day.
