We are recruiting an experienced Welfare Benefits Caseworker to join our dedicated advice team. This is an opportunity to support people facing financial hardship and help them access the advice, benefits and practical support they need.

About the role
You will provide a general advice service to members of the public, with welfare benefits and Universal Credit forming the main areas of advice. You will work closely with our welfare rights and money advice teams, alongside community partners across Sefton.
The role may involve working from different Citizens Advice Sefton offices and delivering advice sessions in outreach locations, including job centres, mental health settings and community venues.
What we are looking for
- Recent experience of providing benefits advice in an advice setting
- The ability to advise on debt and other social welfare issues
- Excellent communication, interviewing and advocacy skills
- The ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
- A commitment to equality, diversity and the aims of Citizens Advice
